Liverpool youngster Leighton Clarkson will serve a two-match after admitting a charge of serious foul play while on loan at Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen.
The 20-year-old midfielder departed on a season-long loan earlier in the summer and has already become a regular under manager Jim Goodwin. He's made five league appearances so far this season and scored two goals, against St. Mirren and St. Johnstone.
However, in their outing against Ross County last weekend the midfielder was booked in the 57th minute for a challenge on Callum Johnson. Despite only receiving a booking at the time, it emerged earlier this week he would face a disciplinary hearing and he was set to go to a player tribunal on Thursday.

However, Clarkson admitted the charge and will face the two-game ban. Aberdeen will now be without Clarkson for their upcoming games against Rangers and Hibernian, but Goodwin believes the Scottish Football Association came to the right conclusion.
He told AberdeenLive : "When we viewed the incident back after the game it was one that surprised us. Watching it live I thought it was a good honest 50-50 challenge but unfortunately when you watch it back, Leighton mistimed it a little bit and he's obviously caught the Ross County player a little bit high.
"Both the club and Leighton accept the charge. Leighton Clarkson is not that type of player, he's not been brought into be a midfield enforce, he's anything but that.
"He's technically very good, he's scored a couple of wonder goals already for us in recent weeks. He's held his hands up about that tackle but it's not something he is renowned for."
