Liverpool star ‘set to leave Anfield for free’ after failing to agree new contract

  • Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate is reportedly set to leave the club this summer after failing to agree a new deal.
  • The French centre-back is out of contract next month, but had been expected to sign a new deal to keep him at Liverpool .
  • However, according to Talksport, Konate is now set to move on from Liverpool and will be available on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of June.
  • Konate joined Liverpool from RB Leipzig in 2021 and has made 181 appearances for the Reds over the past five years.
  • During this period, he has won the Premier League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup, while he was also part of the Liverpool team that made the Champions League final in 2022.
