Ben Doak, Bobby Clark and Stefan Bajcetic are all part of Liverpool's travelling contingent for this evening's Carabao Cup clash with Manchester City.
After being included in the Reds' 33-man training camp in Dubai earlier this month, it was expected that the academy trio would be rewarded for their fine progression with a place in Jurgen Klopp's squad while he awaits the return of those who have featured at the World Cup.
Bajcetic, 18, made his debut in both the Premier League and Champions League earlier this season and could start alongside Harvey Elliott and Thiago Alcantara in midfield. Captain Jordan Henderson has travelled with the squad despite only officially returning to Liverpool training on Monday.
However, pictures obtained by the Manchester Evening News indicate that Fabinho, Alisson and Trent Alexander-Arnold have not travelled with their peers and will instead be expected to make their returns against Aston Villa on Boxing Day.

Doak has enjoyed a fine rise since sealing a summer move from Scottish champions Celtic, whom Liverpool paid £600,000 for his services, and was rewarded with a first-team debut against Derby County in the previous round, just days before signing a professional contract on his 17th birthday.
As expected, Virgil van Dijk will not be lining up for Liverpool at the Etihad this evening, which Jurgen Klopp confirmed after Friday's victory over AC Milan in Dubai.
Teams competing in the Carabao Cup can name up to nine substitutes and therefore a matchday squad of 21 players, meaning it is possible that there could be an inclusion of a player who has not been spotted earlier today.
Here are the 20 players that were pictured in Manchester, as reported by the MEN:
Goalkeepers: Adrian, Caoimhin Kelleher, Harvey Davies
Defenders: Calvin Ramsay, Nat Phillips, Joe Gomez, Andy Robertson, Kostas Tsimikas
Midfielders: Jordan Henderson, Melkamu Frauendorf, Stefan Bajcetic, Fabinho, Naby Keita, Thiago Alcantara, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ben Doak
Forwards: Harvey Elliott, Darwin Nunez, Mohamed Salah, Bobby Clark
