Cooper's message
Head coach Steve Cooper wants Nottingham Forest to harness the winning mentality they are creating at the City Ground, having clinched their place in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
The Reds saw off Huddersfield Town, 2-1, on the banks of the Trent to set up a home clash with Premier League giants Liverpool in the next round.
It puts them one game away from reaching a semi-final at Wembley, with a promotion push also still on the cards as the Championship season reaches its climax.
But Cooper says his focus will quickly turn to a league meeting with Reading at the weekend, rather than looking ahead to a date with Jurgen Klopp’s men.
“I’m only focused on Reading now. That’s the only thing on my mind,” he said.
Salah told Reds are waiting
Nottingham Forest fans have cheekily predicted that Liverpool star Mo Salah will be in the "pocket" of their defenders when the two clubs clash in the FA Cup quarter-final this month.
Salah is expected to be in the Liverpool starting 11 when the two clubs clash on Sunday, March 20 which is the last game before the international break.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has already been warned not to field a weakened team against Steve Cooper's side after they secured brilliant wins over Leicester City and Arsenal and disposed of Huddersfield 2-1 at the City Ground tonight.
But Forest fans say it does not matter if Salah graces the City Ground because a number of Reds defenders are ready to put him under close watch.
Here's what they had to say on Twitter.
Liverpool warned over Forest
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has already been warned to take Nottingham Forest seriously in their FA Cup quarter-final later this month.
Steve Cooper's side will face off against Jurgen Klopp's formidable Premier League title-chasers on Sunday March 20 in what is undoubtedly the tie of the round.
Forest booked their place in the quarter-finals thanks to a 2-1 win over Huddersfield as goals from Sam Surridge and Ryan Yates continued their remarkable run.
And having already beaten Arsenal and Leicester City in the competition, Klopp has been warned by Liverpool fans not to play a weakened side as they chase the quadruple.
One supporter said: "Don’t field a weak team against them Klopp."
Forest make FIFA appeal
Nottingham Forest want FIFA to allow foreign players based in the Russian League who oppose the invasion of Ukraine to suspend their contracts and move elsewhere.
According to the Telegraph, the Reds have spoken to the Football League to ask if they can discuss the situation with FIFA with the plans being backed by the players' union FIFPRO.
It is understood that Forest's appeal is not a result of players they want to sign, but a matter of principle.
It comes after Yaroslav Rakitskyi left Zenit St Petersburg by mutual consent in protest over the conflict last week while Krasnodar suspended the deals of eight players, forcing them to train alone.
Daniel Farke, the former Norwich City manager, also quit the club in the wake of Russia's invasion after just six weeks in charge.
FIFA have reportedly already made the decision to allow 100 players to temporarily break from their contracts in Russia but they would only be able to do so until June 30 and then they must return.
