Liverpool's next six Premier League fixtures compared to Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Man United

Liverpool's start to the new Premier League season hasn't been what anyone has expected, but despite the poor performances for a large part of the campaign, they only sit six points away from Arsenal at the top of the league.

The Reds are not in Premier League action until Saturday, October 1 when they take on Brighton at Anfield after their game against Chelsea on Sunday was postponed.

Jurgen Klopp 's side face some tough matches coming up in the Premier League as they take on league-leaders Arsenal and reigning champions Manchester City in October.

Here's a look at Liverpool, City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham's next six fixtures, to see how they compare...

Liverpool's next six Premier League fixtures

Brighton (H) - October 1

The Seagulls have started the season well and reported Reds target Moises Caicedo will be able to show the Anfield crowd just what he can do. However, manager Graham Potter has departed for Chelsea in what is a huge blow for Brighton.

Arsenal (A) - October 9

The Gunners have started the season in great form with the signing of Gabriel Jesus from Man City making a huge impact on the way they play.

Mikel Arteta's side sit at the summit of the Premier League, but suffered defeat last time out against Man United at Old Trafford.

Manchester City (H) - October 16

One of the stand out fixtures of the season is finally here. These two sides have been the two best for a number of years across Europe. City have enjoyed a better start to the season than Liverpool, but the Reds came out on top in the Community Shield match in July.

West Ham (H) - October 19

Liverpool's second home game in quick succession will be against David Moyes' men who haven't started this season in the same way they played during the last one.

Star man Jarrod Bowen is yet to hit the heights he did last term and the Hammers have struggled for form.

Nottingham Forest (A) - October 22

The two sides met here in the FA Cup last season as the Reds went on to lift the trophy at Wembley. Forest will be fired up for this clash as Steve Cooper looks to find a settled side after signing almost a whole new squad in the summer.

Leeds United (H) - October 29

Leeds lost key men Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha in the summer, but have looked better for it, so far. They put in a fine performance when beating Chelsea 3-0 at Elland Road as they look like a side who won't be battling relegation this season.
