Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp proven right on Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly but big changes backed

A recent survey has shown that football fans would welcome NFL-style improvements to the game, but not the introduction of an All-Star game has proposed by Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly.

The American, who owns shares in the Los Angeles-based baseball and basketball teams the Dodgers and the Lakers, suggested that the Premier League should have an All-Star 'North vs South game' similar to that of the MLB and the NBA at a conference last month, and the proposal was met with contrasting views from Premier League managers.

One of the top-flight bosses to respond with scepticism was Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, who said in a press conference: "He forgets in American sports these players have four-month breaks so they are quite happy they can do a little bit of sport in these breaks. It's completely different in football. Does he want to bring the Harlem Globetrotters as well?"
