Luis Diaz looks set to be involved for Liverpool when they travel to face Leeds United at Elland Road on Monday night, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed. The return of Diaz comes as a huge boost for Liverpool, who haven’t won a game since beating Manchester United 7-0 at the start of March.
Diaz hasn’t been seen in a Liverpool shirt since picking up a knee injury in October, missing almost six months of Premier League action. His absence in the attacking line has been felt by the Reds, but Klopp will hope his return can be timely as the club target qualification for Europe.
The Colombian winger’s fitness isn’t good news for Leeds, though, as they look to bounce back from hammering at the hands of Crystal Palace and bolster their hopes of Premier League survival.

“He is 100% ready in training,” Klopp said, as per the Liverpool Echo. “He is completely ready, now we have to reintegrate. He will be in the squad, unless something happens.”
He added: “It's like having a new player and a new signing. Luis is settling better, his English is better. He has really matured again, much more comfortable than he was at the beginning.
“That will really help him. He is like a breath of fresh air every day he is in training. He hasn't lost his skills.”
Klopp will be checking on the fitness of a couple of other players in the build-up to Monday night’s clash, it seems. The Liverpool boss has revealed both Ibrahima Konate and goalkeeper Alisson Becker have missed training this week and therefore they could be seen as doubts.
“Couple of problems this week,” he said. “Ibou couldn’t train for two days but should be back today. Ali wasn’t involved but will train today individually.
“We’ve had a few problems, hopefully don’t get more. I think we have 5-6 players not in the squad.
“They’re all training well and there are no easy decisions who stays at home. That’s tough for the boys but really good for us.”
