Liverpool rocked by pre-Rangers injury concerns as duo join growing fitness concern list

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been left concerned by more fitness problems for Liverpool ahead of taking on Rangers.

Already, the Reds were missing Scotland captain Andy Robertson, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Curtis Jones and summer signing Arthur Melo, who has now been ruled out long-term. Trent Alexander-Arnold limped out of their 3-2 defeat to Arsenal with an ankle problem and Luis Diaz had a knee issue in further blows to their squad.

Both haven't been given optimistic verdicts by Klopp, who will hope his Liverpool side get a similar result to their 2-0 win against Rangers on matchday three. Giovanni van Bronckhorst's men need something from the Group A game to keep their Champions League last 16 qualification alive and their opposing manager has been left lamenting a loss and injuries ahead of it. Klopp said: “Lucho we had to change before [half-time]. [It's] something with the knee, not good. He will have a scan and then we will know more.
