Queens Drive is a historic stretch of road that unites the city of Liverpool, although its house prices have long been the polar opposite.
The major ring road connects Breeze Hill in the north of Liverpool with Aigburth Vale and is said to have been the first of its kind in the country. Construction started in the early 20th century, although plans had been discussed since the 1850s.
However, in 2022, house prices along the A5058 differ significantly, providing an insight into the difference between some of the most affluent areas of the city and some of the most deprived.

According to Rightmove, properties on Queens Drive in West Derby had an overall average price of £151,667 over the last year. At the Walton end, the average was £138,000.
In 2021, properties for sale in the L18 area of Queens Drive sold for between £310,000 and £400,000, and in 2020 a house on the Wavertree stretch of the main road changed hands for a whopping £750,000.
At the L4 end of Queens Drive, near the junction with Walton Hall Avenue and Walton Lane, there are properties for sale for a little shy of £160,000.
While in need of some modernisation, the semi-detached house is still spacious, with three bedrooms, a dining area and living room with sliding doors, and a garden.
However, the south end of Queens Drive is the opposite end of the scale.
In Wavertree , there is another three-bed semi-detached home, this time on the market for £450,000 with Find Your Eden. While it's slightly bigger than its L4 counterpart, the space is still in need of redecoration, although the back garden is huge and benefits from a conservatory and a raised patio with stone steps.
Another plus is the garage, as well as the decently proportioned bedrooms and larger kitchen area.
Near the Childwall Five Ways, towards Allerton , is another three-bed semi which has been revamped to a high standard.
The property has a lot of kerb appeal; it has beautiful bay windows on the ground floor and first floors, a smaller porthole style window and a dormer roof.
The rooms are huge, with two reception areas and a massive open plan kitchen/diner at the rear. The house is on the market for £490,000 with Martin & Co.
Back in L4, a house on Queens Drive in Walton with a stunning interior was placed on the market last month . The semi-detached home has four bedrooms and one bathroom, and has been lovingly revamped.
The porch features stained-glass windows leading to a huge kitchen, while upstairs is an opulent family bathroom with a claw foot tub.
ECHO readers responded to the price tag with Nikolas Chasapis saying "everything is about postcode". He added: "In a different postcode, like L17-18, or L25, this house, which is outstanding, would have double the price."
Rose Aznita said: "Postcode matters more than interior." According to Rightmove, the property is now under offer.
