Alisson Becker 7
No chance with either of Arsenal goals. Had to deal with some iffy passes first half and fielded Odegaard shot after break.
Trent Alexander-Arnold 7
Recall didn’t quite go to plan as second Arsenal goal came from his wing, but better going forward second half and did brilliantly to set up leveller. Booked after confrontation with Xhaka.

Ibrahima Konate 9
One of few to avoid real criticism first half and grew in stature as game progressed up against Jesus. Roused crowd with very strong challenge on Xhaka, and almost got winner in last second. Good stuff.
Virgil van Dijk 6
Too slow to react for first goal and leggy in opening half-hour before improving. Booked for a swipe at Jesus on Easter Sunday.
Andy Robertson 6
Culpable in part for Arsenal first goal, easily outjumped for the second and miserable time up against Saka first half. Better after that and became more of an attacking threat. Booked.
Fabinho 6
Created chance for Robertson but too easily bypassed first half until getting to grip with matters somewhat after break. Booked and subbed.
Jordan Henderson 7
Ran around a lot and fed Salah for opportunity, but wasn’t able to influence sufficiently until mishit shot helped get Liverpool back in it. Fired over a bit later and decent second half.
Curtis Jones 6
Plenty of effort but unable to use ball effectively and crowd soon lost patience with the youngster. Good part in build-up to Liverpool first, though. Subbed.
Mohamed Salah 8
Prodded a good chance wide first half but Liverpool’s biggest threat and reacted excellently to score before half-time. Deserved better than another missed penalty.
Cody Gakpo 6
One threatening run aside, a peripheral figure before the break but became more prominent as game progressed. Switched to the left on Nunez arrival.
Diogo Jota 5
Effort was top notch, crossed prompted Salah’s goal and won penalty from Holding. However, a player desperately in need of a goal. Subbed.
Thiago Alcantara (for Jones 60) 6
Welcome return for the Spaniard, although clearly nowhere near sharp enough after more than two months out.
Darwin Nunez (for Jota 60) 5
Unable to impact matters as required and missed great chance.
Roberto Firmino (for Fabinho 79) 8
Loves scoring against Arsenal and duly headed in the leveller.
