Alisson Becker 4
Barely involved until passing the ball straight to Guedes at close range for the opener. Dreadful mistake. Solid stop from same player a bit later, and unlucky with Wolves second.
Trent Alexander-Arnold 7
Defended well enough and at least tried to get things happening going forward, not least his searching ball for the equaliser. Easily Liverpool’s best player. Subbed.
Joel Matip 5
Almost gifted a goal to Guedes before Alisson obliged. Some joy when stepping out of defence, and one good tackle second half.
AS IT HAPPENED: Liverpool vs Wolves - goals, highlights and analysis
Ibrahima Konate 5
One vital interception stopped Wolves scoring a likely second, but not given enough protection. Unfortunate for Wolves equaliser.
Andy Robertson 6
Saw a fair amount of the ball early on in an attacking sense but not given easy time by Traore. Lot better second half and a real threat going forward.
Fabinho 4
Bypassed much too often first half and appeared very, very slow. Marginal improvement after break. Subbed.
Jordan Henderson 5
Ran about a bit and good tracking prevented one chance, but not enough quality in possession. Faded after break. Subbed.
Thiago Alcantara 6
Decent start but soon guilty of holding on to the ball too long. Wasn’t afraid to get stuck in, though.
Mohamed Salah 5
Curled a free-kick over and set up shot for Gakpo but disappeared for large parts of first half. Took his goal well, although often hounded out after that. Subbed.
Darwin Nunez 6
Invisible early on and difficult to remember any positive contribution, until an excellent finish for the leveller.
Cody Gakpo 6
Had one shot on target but looked lost amid the general rubbishness before break. Cross forced the second goal. Subbed.
Naby Keita (for Henderson 68) 6
Lively enough when looking to move Liverpool forward. Not bad.
Harvey Elliott (for Fabinho 75) 6
Some decent touches.
Ben Doak (for Salah 85)
A debut in the competition for the teenager.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (for Gakpo 85)
More minutes.
Joe Gomez (for Alexander-Arnold 85)
Slotted in at right-back.
