Liverpool next six fixtures compared to Man City and Chelsea in Premier League title race

Liverpool issued a title reminder to Manchester City on Thursday night after earning a 2-0 victory over Leicester City.

Jurgen Klopp's side welcomed Mohamed Salah back to the squad after his exploits at the Africa Cup of Nations, but it was Diogo Jota who shone again, as he netted a brace.

The win was a vital one for Liverpool after City coasted to a 2-0 win over Brentford at home on Wednesday night.

There is now just nine points between the two teams again, although leaders City have played one game more than Liverpool.

Liverpool will now hope to continue chipping away at the points gap that separates them from the Citizens, while Chelsea will too have ambitions of clawing their way back into contention.

Here are the next six Premier League fixtures Liverpool and their title rivals will play.

1. Man City - 60 points

The league leaders visit newly-promoted Norwich City next, who have built some momentum as of later.

City will also fancy their chances in the pair of matches following this at home to Spurs and away to struggling Everton.

Manchester United will be hopeful of maintaining their positive recent record at the Etihad Stadium against their bitter rivals, having tasted victory on each of their previous three visits.

Crystal Palace could also pose problems for the reigning champions, who were beaten on home soil by Patrick Vieira's side back in October. Palace's rivals Brighton will be the next visitors to the Etihad.

February 12 - Norwich (A)

February 19 - Tottenham (H)

February 26 - Everton (A)

March 5 - Man Utd (H)

March 14 - Crystal Palace (A)

March 19 - Brighton & Hove Albion (H)

2. Liverpool - 51 points (with a game in hand on Man City and Chelsea)

Klopp's side will fancy their chances of obtaining maximum points for the month of February, with matches against Burnley and Norwich on the agenda.

The Reds were scheduled to face Arsenal away on February 26, but this fixture will no longer take place as planned due to the Carabao Cup final being played the following day.

A three-week break from Premier League action then follows after facing the Canaries on February 16.

March begins in tougher fashion for Liverpool at home to West Ham and away to Brighton, and things won't get much easier when Manchester United visit Anfield.

Lowly Watford should present more straightforward opposition when they visit Anfield in early April.

February 13 - Burnley (A)

February 16 - Norwich (H)

March 5 - West Ham (H)

March 12 - Brighton (A)

March 20 - Man Utd (H)

April 2- Watford (H)

3. Chelsea - 47 points

Chelsea's Premier League fixture list for the coming month has been heavily disrupted by their involvement in the FIFA Club World Cup.

The Blues will soon be competing in the mid-season competition, which has resulted in their clash with Arsenal - scheduled for February 12 - being postponed.

Thomas Tuchel's side have also seen a game against Leicester on February 27 called off due to going head-to-head with Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final that day.

After beating Spurs 2-0 in their last Premier League clash, they now face the following fixtures:

February 19 - Crystal Palace (A)

March 5 - Burnley (A)

March 12 - Newcastle (H)

March 19 - Norwich (A)

April 2 - Brentford (H)

April 9 - Southampton (A)
