Liverpool news: Supercomputer predicts Champions League winners as club reap benefits

Liverpool have closed the gap to Premier League leaders Man City to three points and have the opportunity to lift four trophies this season.

One of those is the UEFA Champions League and a supercomputer has predicted who will win Europe's prestigious trophy this season, currently held by English side Chelsea.

If the Reds are to complete the quadruple this season, they will need every player to continue firing on all cylinders and the arrival of Luis Diaz in the January transfer window.

His arrival has seen an increase in Premier League interest in Colombia.

And while he was not on the scoresheet in Wednesday's 6-0 win over Leeds United, the scoreline has led to former Premier League striker Gabriel Agbonlahor predicting relegation for Leeds.

Will Liverpool carry this momentum forward and win the Premier League? Let us know in the comments section below!

Liverpool's Champions League prediction

Liverpool have a 21 per cent chance of lifting the Champions League this season according to a supercomputer.

Liverpool last won the competition in 2019, beating Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in the final.

United take a 2-0 lead into their second-leg fixture against Italian side Inter Milan.
