Liverpool are still reflecting on the incident-packed 2-2 draw with Arsenal at Anfield on Sunday.
The Reds came back from two goals behind to earn a point in a brilliantly entertaining match which featured four goals, a missed penalty and an alleged elbow from an assistant referee. The point does not do Liverpool much good in their efforts to claw back something in the Premier League.
But the performance, from 2-0 down, had plenty of encouraging facets and, were it not for a Mohamed Salah miss from 12 yards and two stunning Aaron Ramsdale saves, they could have taken all three points.
Here are the latest headlines from the world of Liverpool after one of the best games of the season.
Klopp makes admission
There were mixed feelings for Jurgen Klopp in his post-match interview. Liverpool started terribly before roaring back following Mohamed Salah’s goal before half-time.
Like many times this season, Klopp was annoyed with Liverpool’s shoddy defending, yet was still proud of their character and fight.
“We had moments and chances where we didn’t finish the situations off,” he said. “Slightly typical. They’re flying so they score with their first chance. The goal we scored helped massively. At half-time it wasn’t over. It was a sensational atmosphere. Good moment to get the equaliser.
“All of a sudden we were in charge of a wild game. We deserved at least a point. If Ibou [Konate] uses his head [for a late chance] it’s a goal. Maybe he slipped. He had a chance, it was just there.”
PGMOL to investigate
Andy Robertson was on the receiving end of an elbow from assistant referee Constantine Hatzidakis in a crazy end to the first half.
The refereeing body the PGMOL released a statement which confirmed they are aware of the incident and will investigate it.
A statement from the organisation, issued during the second half of the 2-2 draw at Anfield read: "PGMOL is aware of an incident involving assistant referee Constantine Hatzidakis and Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson at half-time during the Liverpool v Arsenal fixture at Anfield. We will review the matter in full once the game has concluded."
Keane slams “big baby” Robertson
Robertson did not get any sympathy for his role in the incident, which saw him booked by referee Paul Tierney – and blasted by Roy Keane in the Sky Sports studio.
Asked if he had ever seen anything like it before, Keane said: "No, not really. But Robertson, do you know what, does he grab the linesman first? I'm not sure, but he's complaining. He should be more worried about his defending.
"Do you know what it is, that Robertson? I've watched him a number of times. He's a big baby. That's what he is. Just get on with the game and concentrate on your defending. He does grab the linesman first."
