Liverpool are still reeling from their slowest start to a Premier League season as they sit as low as 16th in the table on just two points after two draws and one defeat from their first three games.
Jurgen Klopp cut an incredibly frustrated figure on the Old Trafford touchline last Monday as the Reds were beaten 2-1 by their long-term rivals Manchester United. As a result of that defeat, Erik ten Hag's struggling side actually leapfrogged Liverpool in the leaugue table.
Question marks remain over the club's transfer policy as a large section of the fanbase are starting to show signs of frustration with the owners for failing to back Klopp with what they deem the sufficient funds needed to keep up with Liverpool's title rivals.
Mirror Football has collated all of the relevant Liverpool headlines as the Reds gear up for a home clash against newly-promoted Bournemouth on Saturday.
Klopp opens up on team meeting
Rarely has Klopp ever had to stage showdown talks with his Liverpool squad since taking the helm, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
The Reds boss actually explained how the chat was more of an opportunity for him to get his point across as opposed to a frank exchange of views between the whole team.
"There was no discussion. I was getting things off my chest. The good thing about this meeting is I feel much better after it!" he added.
"It is not that I shout at the players, not at all, it is about putting things in perspective, what we did well and what we didn’t do well."
Klopp went on to explain how it is clear to the entire side what they must do to turn the tide on their current form and return to their usual high-standards.

Transfer plans changed
Though he has stood firm over the last few weeks and insisted Liverpool's business was done for the summer, Klopp has had a sudden change of heart.
Not even the Reds boss could have predicted the fact the club finds themselves in the midst of an injury crisis just three games into the new season.
Even before the knocks started piling up, fans were calling for fresh blood in midfield and it now seems they may finally get their wish.
“I know we have had this discussion since it all started and I am the one who said we don’t need a midfielder and you were all right and I was wrong," Klopp told reporters.
"That’s the situation. There is really nothing more to say about it. We are looking for it, and if it is the right player we need him and if it is not the right player we don’t need him."

Reds ready for new attacking line-up
Give their usual lethal standards in front of goal, 4 strikes across three games is hardly world class stuff from a Liverpool front-line that undeniably contains world class talent.
New-boy Darwin Nunez cancelled out the good feeling of his debut strike with a foolish red-card in the following fixture, while Mohamed Salah has struggled to have as much influence despite notching two in three.
As a result, there's every chance summer signing Fabio Carvalho is handed a chance to impress from the first whistle for the visit of Scott Parker's Bournemouth.
The former Fulham teenager has impressed during the cameo appearances he has been handed off the bench in recent weeks.
Starting Carvalho may require a formation tweak from the usual 4-3-3 and into a 4-2-3-1 to allow an extra attacker in the mix, but if ever the Reds boss was going to shake things up now is the time.
