Firstly losing 1-0 away to relegation-threatened Bournemouth, Jurgen Klopp's side failed to make Real Madrid break sweat on Wednesday in their Champions League round-of-16 second leg.
Liverpool were beaten 1-0 thanks to Karim Benzema's late strike, giving Los Blancos a rousing 6-2 win on aggregate. Klopp and his Reds bosses now have the opportunity to sit down and prepare for not only the end of this season, but the summer transfer window, too.
