Liverpool named among top destinations to visit

Liverpool has been named as one of the top destinations to visit.

Research by Booking.com found Liverpool is one of its top trending destinations for spring 2023 and has compiled a handy guide of the city's best hotels.

Booking.com said it was "no surprise" that Liverpool ranked high on the list. The company added: "Home to one the biggest football teams in the world and one of the most iconic boy bands to ever pick up a microphone."

"Besides being the birthplace of the Beatles, the city is rich with architectural heritage, from the city’s two cathedrals to the historically significant Albert Dock and the Tate art gallery making it the perfect place for culture vultures.

"You can also visit the British Music Experience for a chance to explore and learn about the history of British music throughout the years, as well as witness memorabilia from the likes of Adele and Oasis."

Booking.com also provided a handy guide of its top hotels in the city. Their 'sustainable travel property' is Staycity Aparthotels Liverpool Duke Street, while the "stylish" Baltic Hotel was also praised for its bar and concierge services.

Both venues were selected for their proximity to some of Liverpool's most iconic sites, including the Albert Dock, as well being close to a huge selection of bars and restaurants.

The lavish Hope Street Hotel was listed as a must-visit due to its views of the city centre and its award-winning restaurant.
