Liverpool midfielder departs as loan transfer confirmed

Liverpool Leighton Clarkson Aberdeen Scottish Premiership Jurgen Klopp UEFA Champions League

Liverpool midfielder Leighton Clarkson will spend the season on loan at Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen.

The 20-year-old has been allowed to move to Pittodrie with the Reds keen for him to gain more experience of senior football.

Clarkson saw a similar loan spell at Championship side Blackburn Rovers cut short midway through last term having been restricted just seven appearances.
