Liverpool midfielder Leighton Clarkson will spend the season on loan at Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen.
The 20-year-old has been allowed to move to Pittodrie with the Reds keen for him to gain more experience of senior football.
Clarkson saw a similar loan spell at Championship side Blackburn Rovers cut short midway through last term having been restricted just seven appearances.

The midfielder, who has been at the Liverpool Academy since the age of six and signed a new long-term deal two years ago, had previously made his first-team breakthrough for the Reds in the 2019/20 season with appearances in the League Cup and FA Cup before being given a Champions League start at FC Midtjylland the following campaign.
“As you can imagine, Leighton has had a very high standard of coaching within the LFC Academy and he has already represented Liverpool at first team level in the FA Cup and Champions League," said Aberdeen manager Jim Goodwin.
“We’re very grateful to Liverpool for their assistance in making this loan possible and hope they will see Aberdeen as a suitable club for some of their young prospects to continue their development in the future.”
Clarkson is the 12th Liverpool player out on loan following Tyler Morton's temporary move to Blackburn earlier this week.
