Liverpool are back in Champions League action on Wednesday night as they welcome Benfica to Anfield for the second leg of their quarter-final clash.
Jurgen Klopp 's side take a 3-1 lead into the fixture after goals from Ibrahima Konate, Sadio Mane and Luis Diaz secured the win at the Estadio da Luz last week. Darwin Nunez handed his side a lifeline with a goal shortly after half-time and they'll hope to produce a sensational comeback. There's little rest for the Reds after they drew 2-2 with Manchester City at the Etihad on Sunday and remain a point behind their rivals in the title race.
Attention swiftly turned to European action, though, with a place up for grabs in the semi-finals of the competition against either Bayern Munich or Villarreal. Here are three things spotted from Liverpool 's Tuesday training season at the AXA Training Centre in Kirkby....

No sign of Thiago
Midfielder Thiago seemingly wasn't part of the squad involved in the session on Tuesday afternoon. He played 90 minutes against Manchester City in the draw on Sunday.
All of Liverpool's other midfielders were involved in the session, with Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, Naby Keita, Curtis Jones, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Harvey Elliott all in action.
It is worth noting, however, that Roberto Firmino wasn't involved in the training session on Friday ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash. He was still named in the squad and came on as a 84th minute substitute for Sadio Mane.
Williams and Davies involved
A couple of youngsters were training with the first team, with Rhys Williams and goalkeeper Harvey Davies in action.
The latter has returned from injury to work alongside the other keepers, while Williams was among the centre backs to take part. The 21-year-old defender spent the first half of the season on loan at Swansea but returned to Merseyside in January.
He's made seven appearances for the U23s since his return, but with Liverpool's first team well stocked at centre back, he's yet to be named in a matchday squad.
A chance for Elliott or Jones?
Given Liverpool come into the game with a 3-1 lead, Klopp could look to some of the younger members of his squad to play a part against Benfica. Harvey Elliott missed out on the squad for the game against City on Sunday, but was involved on training on Tuesday.
Curtis Jones was named on the bench at the Etihad, but hasn't featured since the win over Watford in the first game back after the international break. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also missed out on a place on the bench against Pep Guardiola's side, but with bigger squads and more substitutions, he could be an option for tomorrow night.
