Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez has failed to set the Premier League alight following his club-record move to Anfield over the summer, but the Reds have been sent a promising verdict by his former psychologist at Benfica.
Nunez almost became a star overnight with his impressive campaign in Portugal last year, scoring 34 goals in 41 games across all competitions, but things haven’t been quite so rosy since he moved to Merseyside, despite scoring on his Premier League debut.
Yet Benfica psychologist Evandro Mota has opened up on the Uruguayan “gem”, believing that Nunez will prove to be a “big hit” for Liverpool in the top flight because of a trait that “very few” players have.
