Liverpool are looking to do a deal with Fulham to sign Fabio Carvalho before the transfer window closes.
The Reds are one of several clubs who have been keeping tabs on the England youth international during a campaign that has seen him register eight times in 17 games for Marco Silva's Championship leaders.
Carvalho is out of contract in the summer and the ECHO understands Liverpool are looking to bring him to Anfield before Monday night's 11pm deadline.

Anfield sources have stressed, however, that the club won't pay over the odds for a player who could join on a free transfer in the summer months.
There is also a concern that they could lose out to a European giant with Carvalho able to talk about a pre-contract agreement that would see Fulham due training compensation later down the line.
Liverpool wrapped up the £49m signing of Luis Diaz from Porto on Sunday and the Reds are seeing if they can strike a fair deal for the 19-year-old before the close of play on Monday night.
The Reds have been monitoring Carvalho's situation for some time and believe they can offer him a clear pathway to the first team in the long term.
The club's recruitment team are able to point to the development of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Curtis Jones and more recently Harvey Elliott and Kaide Gordon as examples of young players making themselves first-team stars under Jurgen Klopp.
The Reds believe his level of experience at 19 and his ability to play in a number of attacking roles make him an interesting prospect as they look to continue their policy of luring the finest youngsters in England to the club.
Carvalho rejected a new contract with Fulham in November and is not currently represented by an agency as things stand, with his family handling his dealings at present.
A sizable snag for Liverpool, however, is that Fulham are under no pressure to sell and may feel Carvalho is more valuable to them for the rest of the season rather than offloading him on a cut-price deal this month.
Another is the fact that Carvalho is reportedly being tracked by Borussia Dortmund, whose recent history of turning young talent into regular England internationals in the shape of Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham might appeal to the young winger.
Speaking last week about Carvalho's future, Fulham boss Silva urged caution from those advising the youngster at this important juncture in his career.
“He has to keep his feet on the floor, and so do the people around him," he said.
"Sometimes you want to make a step bigger than your leg can take. Sometimes you are making a big mistake.
"I’m not saying that it will be with Fulham or club A, B or C, but sometimes you have to understand that a football career is not just in one moment - you have to prepare [for] the future as well."
The news comes on the day the club confirmed the £49m arrival of Luis Diaz from Porto after he passed a medical in Argentina on Saturday.
