Liverpool line-ups for Villarreal as Luis Diaz and Ibrahima Konate decisions made

Ibrahima Konate Luis Diaz Villarreal Jordan Henderson Thiago Alcantara Fabinho Mohamed Salah Sadio Mane UEFA Champions League Andy Robertson

'Outrageous Luis Diaz returns for a start'

Paul Gorst: A third Champions League semi-final of the Jurgen Klopp era it is, then and given the manager did not make several changes to his Merseyside derby team on Sunday, I am not expecting anything major this evening against Villarreal.

The big issue is at centre-back where Ibrahima Konate is again staking his claims. The French defender has been the 'Champions League partner' for Virgil van Dijk in the main this season but I'm keeping faith with Joel Matip. Konate can rest up for Newcastle at the weekend.
