Ian Doyle - Fabinho returns to replace Thiago
Can a European away be called a European away when you can drive to it in a few hours?
Regardless, Liverpool know victory at Rangers this evening will put them in a very strong position to qualify for the Champions League knockout stages - and guarantee at least Europa League football in the New Year.
With all the injuries, the team almost picks itself. Almost.
In goal, Alisson Becker. Joe Gomez comes in at right-back for the crocked Trent Alexander-Arnold, ditto Ibrahima Konate for Joel Matip at centre-back. Andy Robertson can have the last half-hour at left-back but Kostas Tsimikas starts.

Midfield as ever is the tricky one. I'd stick with the 4-2-3-1 (it's NOT 4-4-2, sorry) but bring in Fabinho to replace Thiago Alcantara alongside Jordan Henderson. One eye on Manchester City at the weekend, of course.
The attack will have Diogo Jota on the left, Mohamed Salah on the right and Roberto Firmino in behind Darwin Nunez, who is looking good for a long run in the team.
Expect plenty of substitutions, though.
My team (4-2-3-1): Alisson; Gomez, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Fabinho, Henderson; Salah, Firmino, Jota; Nunez
Paul Gorst - Liverpool must stay on the attack
After weathering a very real injury crisis earlier in the season, Jurgen Klopp will feel that it is back with a vengeance as he surmises his options for tonight's game.
No Trent Alexander-Arnold, Luis Diaz or Joel Matip to choose from for this one, No Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain either, despite his return to training. He's not registered for Champions League duty. Ditto for Naby Keita, whose injury problems go on anyway. Andy Robertson does at least come back into the fold if not quite the team just yet. Curtis Jones is also available even he is yet to play a minute this term.
Liverpool may just be feeling sorry for themselves now given the injuries and the way some of the decisions went in that 3-2 defeat to Arsenal but wallowing will get them nowhere. Especially not with a Rangers side desperate to land a glove on their Premier League opponents this evening.
Ibrox will be white hot, so the visitors need to show all of their class this evening, even if it has been largely misplaced since the end of last season. Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez can return to the defence but I am sticking with the 442 or 4231 - however you see it - and naming Roberto Firmino behind Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota out on the left.
My team (4-2-3-1): Alisson; Gomez, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Henderson, Thiago; Salah, Firmino, Jota; Nunez
Stephen Killen - Klopp should revert to familiar system
Liverpool enter the bear pit on Tuesday wounded following their defeat to Arsenal. In light of Celtic's disappointment last night against RB Leipzig, Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side will be wanting to avoid a similar slip.
Last season, Rangers managed some magnanimous feats at home and they will be looking to add the scalp of the Reds to that. But Liverpool must revert back to old ways.
The switch to 4-2-4 was good in its stages on Saturday and proved problematic for Rangers when they were visitors to Anfield just eight days ago. With the crowd behind their opponents, Liverpool's defence and midfield need protecting.
The injury to Luis Diaz will be felt not only today but until his return after the World Cup but Jurgen Klopp needs his attackers to step up and try to garner some momentum for the rest of the group stage campaign and ahead of Sunday.
With injuries to Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and Ibrahima Konate are the only options to deputise. Fabinho must come in to cover as protection at least. Diaz's absence should see Jota move over to the left with Darwin Nunez leading the line.
My team (4-3-3): Alisson; Gomez, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsmikias; Fabinho, Thiago, Henderson; Jota, Nunez, Salah
Richard Garnett - Midfield decision to make
Picking a starting XI for Liverpool is becoming about as enjoyable as writing a weekly shopping list when you've blown half your money on a big night out. It needs to be done, but with whatever resources you have at your disposal.
As you would expect, the truly excellent Alisson Becker continues in goal here, but there are enforced changes when it comes to picking a back four off the shelves.
Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joel Matip are both declared currently out of stock due to injuries, although on current form it could be argued that the former needed to be discontinued regardless.
Calvin Ramsay is now back in Liverpool training but I think it will be Joe Gomez who will get the nod here. Thankfully, the loss of Matip should not be felt too badly with a 'deluxe range' replacement in the form of Ibrahima Konate making a welcome return.
Virgil van Dijk will partner the Frenchman and although Andy Robertson is ripe again, I suspect that Kostas Tsimikas will start this one tonight at left-back.
The middle aisle often springs a few surprises but on this occasion, Jurgen Klopp only really has one decision to make. Should he continue as expected with his new 4-2-3-1 formation, the German must pick two midfielders from Thiago, Jordan Henderson and Fabinho. Given the opposition and last week's Champions League result, I believe Klopp will stick with the silky Spaniard and his captain, while the Brazilian spends another match on the middle aisle shelf with the gas stoves and patio heaters.
Up front, the Reds need sharpness and someone with ice from the freezer in his veins to stick the ball in the onion bag. Mohamed Salah has thawed quite considerably in the early stages of this campaign but he keeps his place on the right. With no Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota occupies his spot on the left. Roberto Firmino can find some joy dropping deep centrally between the two, while Darwin Nunez rides shotgun to supply the cherry on top of Liverpool's dessert.
It's early days for the Uruguayan after his pricey purchase, but a goal tonight on the back of Sunday's notch would alleviate some pressure on Jurgen Klopp to find Benfica's receipt and check his guarantee.
Liverpool XI (4-2-3-1): Alisson, Gomez, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas, Henderson, Thiago, Salah, Firmino, Jota, Nunez
