Elliott and Nunez get the nod in attacking line-up
Paul Gorst: Once again, Jurgen Klopp is asked to pick a Liverpool team from his walking wounded.
Ibrahima Konate has trained this week but the defender won't have 90 minutes in his legs just yet. That means Joe Gomez continues at centre-half alongside Virgil van Dijk. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson are on the flanks.
In midfield, I'm keeping faith with a badly out-of-sorts Fabinho. With no Thiago Alcantara, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain or Arthur Melo for this one, there is little option, really. James Milner is a shout but I'm sticking with the Brazilian alongside Jordan Henderson in the engine room.
On the right of that I'm going with Harvey Elliott, while Darwin Nunez starts once more alongside Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah. It's an attacking line-up that can fire the Reds into the last 16 at the Johan Cruyff ArenA.
My team (4-3-3): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Elliott; Salah, Nunez, Firmino.

Konate not ready as Milner has to wait
Ian Doyle: Not many decisions to make for Jurgen Klopp in a game they don't even need to win to reach the Champions League knockout stages.
But victory might be a good idea to regain the momentum lost by the weekend defeat at Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.
With Klopp admitting Ibrahima Konate isn't quite ready to start, it seems the only change in defence will be Trent Alexander-Arnold coming in at right-back. Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez are the centre-backs, Andy Robertson left-back and Alisson Becker in goal.
The continued absence of Thiago Alcantara means Jordan Henderson must start alongside Fabinho in the centre of midfield, with James Milner and maybe Stefan Bajcetic getting a run-out later on.
Darwin Nunez leads the attack, with Mohamed Salah on the right and Roberto Firmino in behind. That leaves one place, and I'd go with Curtis Jones on the left for an hour before bringing on Fabio Carvalho.
My team (4-2-3-1): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson; Salah, Firmino, Jones; Nunez.

Sean Bradbury: Ajax are desperate for a win. Liverpool only need a point to qualify for the knockouts.
That equation means a 4-2-3-1 with six players mainly committed to defending and four ready to spring on the counter attack could be the recipe tonight.
I would go with Darwin Nunez up top, supported by Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Curtis Jones. Harvey Elliott can be poised for action from the bench.
Jordan Henderson and Fabinho are the midfield double pivot, with Ibrahima Konate returning in defence alongside Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson. Joe Gomez can replace Konate if he still isn't quite ready to start.
My team (4-2-3-1): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson; Salah, Firmino, Jones; Nunez.
Gomez keeps his place in a 4-3-3 system
Charlotte Coates: The mood may be a bit gloomy lately surrounding Liverpool after Saturday's shock defeat to Nottingham Forest, but the Reds have a chance to put that right tonight.
If Liverpool avoid defeat in Amsterdam against Ajax then they will secure progression to the last 16 of the Champions League before a home tie with Napoli.
The question is, who will be in the starting XI? One certainty is Alisson Becker in goal as he is set to make his 200th appearance for Liverpool.
Trent Alexander-Arnold can come back in at right-back with Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk playing in the heart of the defence. Andy Robertson will start at left-back.
The midfield is where things get tricky, but the out-of-form Fabinho will start alongside Jordan Henderson and Harvey Elliott. Mohamed Salah will start in the forward three next to Roberto Firmino and Darwin Nunez.
My team (4-3-3): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Elliott; Salah, Firmino, Nunez.

Tom Cavilla: Jurgen Klopp will be expecting a reaction from his players against Ajax this evening.
A temptation for the Liverpool boss may be to switch up his team in search of a reaction from his players’ dismal defeat at Nottingham Forest and changes could be on the cards as the Reds at the Johan Cruyff arena on Wednesday evening.
Alisson, Liverpool’s standout performer of the current campaign, is a certainty to start between the sticks as he looks to maintain his impressive form. At right-back, Trent Alexander-Arnold could come back into the team after being left on the bench for Saturday’s trip to the City Ground. On the opposite flank, Kostas Tsimikas could also be afforded an opportunity after remaining an unused substitute at the weekend. There are question marks over who could partner Virgil van Dijk in the heart of defence after a shaky display from Joe Gomez last time out, enabling Ibrahima Konate to make only a second appearance of the season.
Injury issues in midfield are likely to dictate Klopp’s selection as Thiago Alcantara remains unavailable for selection while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain cannot feature due to not being named in the Reds’ Champions League squad submitted for the group stage. As a result, Jordan Henderson and Fabinho are both likely to feature alongside Harvey Elliott.
Darwin Nunez has travelled with the squad and will be itching to return, enabling him to lead the attack alongside Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.
My team to (4-2-3-1): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, Konate, Tsimikas; Henderson, Fabinho; Elliott, Firmino, Salah; Nunez.
