Liverpool line-up as Joe Gomez starts with seven changes to team for Norwich

Joe Gomez will make his first Premier League start in 15 months as Jurgen Klopp rings the changes for Liverpool this afternoon.

Gomez has featured for just 12 minutes in the top flight over four substitute appearances since returning from his serious knee injury last summer.

But the defender will start at right-back as one of seven changes made by Klopp for the Premier League visit of relegation-threatened Norwich City this afternoon.

Gomez replaces Trent Alexander-Arnold, with Kostas Tsimikas stepping in at left-back in place of Andy Robertson.

Joel Matip replaces Ibrahima Konate to partner Virgil van Dijk at centre-back.

Liverpool have completely overhauled their midfield with skipper Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all starting.

Up front, Roberto Firmino has joined Diogo Jota on the sidelines with a muscle injury that is being assessed, meaning January signing Luis Diaz joins Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in the attack.

LIVERPOOL (4-3-3): Alisson; Gomez, Matip, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Henderson, Keita, Oxlade-Chamberlain; Mane, Salah, Diaz.

Subs: Kelleher, Fabinho, Konate, Thiago, Milner, Minamino, Robertson, Origi, Elliott.

NORWICH: Gunn, Gibson, Williams, Aarons, Hanley(c), Normann, Gilmour, McLean, Rashica, Sargent, Pukki.
