Steven Gerrard has revealed people being late is the one thing that annoys him more than anything else.
Always a player who demanded the highest standards of himself and Liverpool team-mates, it should perhaps come as no surprise the Reds legend has given such a response. Throughout the course of his Anfield career, Gerrard's professionalism was a key attribute as he captained the team to a number of historic results.
Now back in the game of football as a manager, the legendary midfielder has maintained his admirable approach to work and expects the same from his Aston Villa players.

Asked by Gary Neville on the Overlap what is his biggest frustration, the 41-year-old said: "People being late. There is [fines in place], but I let the players dominate the majority of the fines. I think it is important they run their own dressing room.
"I don't want to be one of these managers who is pulling people in and fining people left, right and centre. In this day and age, the preparation and what you put in should be on the money. It was always something I used to try and make a priority for myself than I was on time all the time."
Continuing his conversation with Neville, the ex-Liverpool talisman was then asked which member of Manchester United's Class of 92 he would most like to slap, to which he joked: "How many slaps can we have? To be honest, we were obviously massive rivals when we played and I got on with all of the lads at England.
"People may not believe that or think it but once we went past day three and four and started talking to each other, I normally got on with all of you."
