Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has been nominated for a prestigious British Diversity Award.

The awards feature an array of inspirational celebrities and public figures alike. The ceremony will recognise individuals with a history of working to advance equality and opportunity for traditionally marginalised sections of society.

The Sky Sports pundit has been shortlisted for a Media Champion in the Public Eye Award for his work this year in helping to launch Football For Change, which aims to give young people from disadvantaged backgrounds opportunities in education and sport across the North West.
