Liverpool left Mikel Arteta "unable to cope" and forced Arsenal boss into unique method

Mikel Arteta attempted to recreate the famous Anfield atmosphere by putting his Arsenal players through their paces to the tune of Liverpool's anthem, You'll Never Walk Alone.

The Spaniard knows all too well what it is like travelling to the imposing Merseyside stadium from his playing days with local rivals Everton and the Gunners. And having seen his Arsenal side beaten 3-1 by the Reds in the 2020/21 campaign, Arteta came up with a new plan to prepare for the trip to the North-West last season, in November.

The former midfielder proposed holding training sessions quite literally to the tune of You'll Never Walk Alone, which is sung by tens of thousands of fans before kick-off and full-time during Liverpool's home games. Arteta harked back to his own experience and explained why he thought this method would work in a segment of upcoming Prime Video series 'All or Nothing: Arsenal'.
