Chelsea are believed to want £50million to part ways with Mason Mount in the summer transfer window as Liverpool reportedly look to add him to their midfield rebuild.
The Reds are said to be admirers of the England international, who is yet to agree a new contract with Chelsea, but they may face competition from Manchester United for his signature.
Mount is out of contract at Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2024 and Graham Potter's side do not want to lose the midfielder for free, so they may be forced to sell him once the season ends.

It is claimed from the Guardian that the 24-year-old currently earns £75,000-a-week and has rejected the latest offer of £180,000 from Chelsea. It has also been claimed Mount would like to move to Anfield in the summer.
Liverpool's top target for their midfield rebuild in the summer is Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham, with the 19-year-old potentially costing over £100million.
A deal for Mount will be seen as an opportunity for Klopp to capture a player who would fit seamlessly into the Liverpool side and help with the homegrown quota.
With several Reds midfielders looking set to leave in summer - including Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner as things stand - it remains to be seen whether a budget of £150m would be available to rebuild that department for the next stage of Jurgen Klopp's squad plan.
