An Icelandic airline will link Liverpool to Reykjavik for the first time - and will offer connections to the USA when it starts flights from Liverpool John Lennon Airport later this year.
PLAY is the airport's latest airline partner and will begin services from Liverpool on November 4, 2022. The low-cost carrier will link Liverpool to Iceland's capital and offer "seamless connections" with its services to US cities, such as New York, Boston, Washington and Orlando.
Flights will operate on Mondays and Fridays and will use a fleet of brand-new Airbus neo family aircraft. One-way tickets to Iceland will start at £59.99, while transatlantic flights via Reykjavik will be priced from £149.99.
