Liverpool hotels with rooms for Eurovision weekend and how much they're charging

Back in October, many Liverpool hotels sold out almost immediately after the huge news the city would be hosting this year's Eurovision Song Contest.

The huge event, which falls on the second week in May, will take place in the city as the UK hosts on behalf of last year's winners, Ukraine. Liverpool had been whittled down to the final two potential host cities along with Glasgow, beating off competition from the likes of Leeds, Manchester and Birmingham earlier in the process.

A number of hotels and apartments pushed their prices up for the weekend, with some one-night stays on May 13 (the day of the Eurovision final) jumping to more than £1,000.

Eurovision tickets went on official sale today, and while many fans were left disappointed, some lucky ticket-holders will now be looking for somewhere to stay.

At the time of publication, some rooms and apartments in Liverpool were still available on Booking.com, with the cost of a one-night stay varying.

Newsham Lodge on Newsham Drive is offering a single room with shared bathroom for £390 on May 13, while Rodney Street Luxury Townhouse in the city centre has an apartment that sleeps four for £589 for the night.

At the other end of the spectrum, a four bedroom house "steps away from Anfield stadium" is available for a whopping £20,050 for the night. The entire house, which sleeps eight, is on offer with four double beds and two bathrooms.

Another house, with two bedrooms, "minutes away from Liverpool airport" is currently available for £12,500.

The listings come as many people living in and around the city have chosen to vacate for the night, or entire week, to rent out their homes for a considerable sum.
