Liverpool's main hospital trust has issued a message to patients ahead of the second strike by nurses tomorrow (Tuesday).
The first ever walk-out by the Royal College of Nursing took place last Thursday, with nurses from hospitals all over Liverpool taking to picket lines in a fight for better pay and safer working conditions.
As things stand, those same nurses will walk-out again tomorrow for a second day of strike action. Picket lines are likely to be in place at all city sites - including the Royal Liverpool Hospital, Aintree, Alder Hey, Liverpool Women's Hospital and the smaller hospitals in the city.

Those nurses joining picket lines tomorrow will be hoping for a similar level of support to what they received during Thursday's strike action, with motorists constantly honking as they passed the demonstrations.
Ahead of Tuesday's strike action, Liverpool's main hospital trust has issued a message to patients regarding what they should do during the industrial action.
A message from the Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs the Royal Liverpool Hospital, Aintree and Broadgreen Hospitals, said: "Industrial action is taking place at our hospitals on 20 and 21 December.
"We will contact your directly if your appointment is impacted. You don't need to contact us. Our A&Es are extremely busy. If it's less urgent, please visit NHS 111, your local pharmacy or GP first."
As well as tomorrow's second day of nursing strikes, ambulance staff from nine trusts including North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) will walk out on December 21 and 28 in an ongoing dispute over pay.
