Three years of negotiations has come to an end at Liverpool Hope University as staff voted overwhelmingly to accept the terms of a new workload model.
Members of the University College Union voted 94.6% in favour of accepting the newly negotiated terms, they had been asking for since 2019.
The union said: "This brings to a close nearly three years of intense negotiations and, crucially, delivers on two key demands by branch members.

"Firstly, a maximum notional allocation of 1,500 workload hours at the beginning of each academic year. This number represents a 50 hour reduction on a previous offer, and, crucially, is consistent with an average 35 hour working week for all academic staff.
"Secondly, the formation of a comprehensive model, including a live document containing role tariffs that are designed to recognise and count all parts of our work. These tariffs remain open to annual review to ensure that they are counting this work accurately and fairly.
"We thank University management for the good will they have demonstrated in these negotiations since the summer. And we also thank all Hope UCU members for their determination during these negotiations, and their refusal to accept an offer that did not meet their demands."
Liverpool Hope University declined to comment.
