Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Arthur Melo has suffered a muscle injury and will miss Liverpool's trip to Arsenal on Sunday.
The Brazilian was missing from the Reds' matchday squad as they beat Rangers on Tuesday night, with it unclear at the time the reason behind his absence. But speaking at his latest pre-match press conference, Klopp has now confirmed Liverpool are waiting to find out how long the midfielder will be sidelined for.
However, there was better news regarding Curtis Jones and Andy Robertson with the Reds boss confirming the former is back in training and both are closing in on returns.

"Curtis Jones was in training yesterday. Looked good," Klopp told reporters. "But that's not the first session. He's probably closest. Nothing new, in a good way.
"Naby and Ox still a little bit away. We have a new injury. Arthur Melo in the last session before the Rangers game. Normal situation, he injured a muscle. We have to wait for further assessment to know how long it will be. He is out.
"Robbo is running a lot. Looks like he is close. Probably Curtis now the closest, then Robbo then the other two step by step."
