Andy Robertson will miss Liverpool's Champions League meeting with Ajax on Tuesday after suffering a suspected knee injury.
The Reds' left-back played the full game as Jurgen Klopp's side were beaten 4-1 by Napoli in the opening fixture of their European campaign on Wednesday night in Italy. However, the Scotland captain will play no part of the Group A clash with the Dutch giants at Anfield after picking up an issue with what is believed to be his left knee.
Robertson was at the AXA Training Centre in Kirkby on Sunday in a knee brace and the ECHO understands he will be absent from Tuesday's game as a result, handing Kostas Tsimikas the opportunity to deputise on the left side of Liverpool's back four.

It means the full-back adds to Klopp's injury woes as he joins Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita, Jordan Henderson, Ibrahima Konate, Curtis Jones and Caoimhin Kelleher on the sidelines, although there is at least expected to be good news over Fabio Carvalho's situation after he sustained a dead leg in the Merseyside derby draw with Everton on September 3.
It's unclear at this stage how long Robertson is likely to be out of action for although Klopp is due to deliver an update on the defender's condition when he meets the media on Monday afternoon to preview the match with Ajax.
Robertson is just the latest injury for Klopp to contend with after seeing several of his key players pull up already just a few weeks into the new term. Konate, Keita, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jones are yet to play a minute between them so far.
Joel Matip started Liverpool 's season-opener at Fulham on August 6 but has since been hampered by a groin complaint that has kept him on the bench for the last two matches and captain Henderson is out for the next few weeks with a muscle concern. of his own.
Thiago Alcantara's second-half cameo in Naples on Wednesday night was his first appearance in over a month and Diogo Jota only returned to action at Goodison Park after aggravating a hamstring problem during a pre-season training session in Thailand.
Summer signing Calvin Ramsay is yet to be included in a match-day squad while an injury for goalkeeper Kelleher means third-choice shot-stopper Adrian has continued to deputise on the bench all season.
