Liverpool are 'looking to hijack' Tottenham Hotspur's move for Porto winger Luis Diaz, according to Liverpool FC correspondent for the ECHO, Paul Gorst.
It's believed this would be for an initial fee of £37million.
The Reds have continued to be linked with the Colombian star throughout the January window, and could be about to take action.
Spurs were this week rumoured to be plotting a move for the 25-year-old, but Liverpool could be about to swoop in to complete an excellent piece of transfer business.

What?
Divock Origi is understood to be a potential target for Serie A side Atalanta, who are running the risk of losing star striker Dusan Zapata.
There has not yet been a formal approach to Liverpool, but there is still time for negotiations to take place between now and the end of the transfer window.
Newcastle United are understood to be interested in the Colombian international, which may force the Italian club to assesses their options.
Origi is out of contract at Liverpool in the summer, though the Reds can trigger an extension in his contract if the Belgian meets an appearance threshold.

What?
Liverpool have rejected 'initial approaches' for Takumi Minamino from Leeds United and Monaco.
Minamino has struggled to feature on a regular basis ever since arriving at the club, but has been a regular starter for the Reds in the Carabao Cup this season.
The report adds it would take a 'considerable offer 'for the Reds to be persuaded to offload the former Red Bull Salzburg man, who arrived at Anfield two years ago.
