Jurgen Klopp has made Sofyan Amrabat his top transfer target along with Jude Bellingham - and the player himself is keen to join Liverpool.
That's according to the latest report from French outlet Foot Mercato, who have previously claimed that Reds boss Klopp has already met Amrabat's representatives and, given that the meeting went all, further talks will take place after the World Cup ended.
The Qatar tournament came to a conclusion in spectacular fashion on Sunday night when Argentina beat France 4-2 on penalties to claim the crown for the third time after the teams were tied at 3-3 after 120 minutes of thrilling football. Defending champions France had booked their place in the final by beating Morocco in Wednesday's second semi-final.

Amrabat was one of the stars of the show for surprise package Morocco with his commanding displays from midfield said to have attracted the attention of some of Europe's leading clubs - reportedly including Liverpool.
Foot Mercato claim that Klopp is eager to strengthen his options in the centre of the park in the January transfer window and that he has made the 26-year-old his 'priority' along with Bellingham, the Borussia Dortmund prodigy who enhanced his growing reputation with his performances for England at the World Cup.
However, if the Reds do follow up their supposed interest in Amrabat, the new report suggests they will face fierce competition from Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur, whose manager Antonio Conte is said to have wanted the player for 'several seasons'. An unnamed German club are also said to be in the running along with La Liga giants Atletico Madrid, of whom Amrabat is a confirmed admirer of their manager Diego Simeone.
Speaking to Spanish publication Marca recently, Amrabat said: “I’m proud to be linked to top clubs like Barcelona and Atlético. But I’m a Fiorentina player, I respect the club and I’ve a great relationship with the president.
"[Diego] Simeone? We have a good coach at Fiorentina too but… yes, I like El Cholo's [ Simeone's] style [of play].”
Amrabat is under contract at Fiorentina until 2024 but Foot Mercato state the Serie A side are not 'closed' to selling the player in January and that a bid of '40 million' could suffice. And, crucially, for Liverpool, Foot Mercato also state that Amrabat 'wants to discover the Premier League' and that his 'preference' would be a move to Anfield.
