Liverpool return to Premier League action tonight against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
The Reds have won their last six and are unbeaten in eight, which boss Jurgen Klopp believes is going to be vital heading into next season. It could also yet see them snatch a Champions League place.
Liverpool are four points behind Manchester United and Newcastle United in the race for the top four. After a campaign heavily disrupted by injuries, it would represent a good achievement.
But the Reds are going to have to win their final three matches and hope results elsewhere go their way. And ahead of the first of those matches, here is the latest Liverpool injury news.
Naby Keita
Naby Keita is yet to full training after a time out injured with an undisclosed injury.
It raises the prospect of the Guinea midfielder not making a final appearance before his almost certain departure from the club this summer. Keita's contract is up in June and he hasn't feared for the Reds since he was substituted in the 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace in February.
Expected return date: Unknown.
Roberto Firmino
A muscle problem has kept Roberto Firmino out of the wins over Nottingham Forest, West Ham United, Tottenham and Brentford, and he will again be missing tonight. However, Klopp remains optimistic the Brazil international will play for Liverpool again before he leaves the club in the summer, though.
The Reds boss said: “No, they were not in team training yet. I saw Bobby in training yesterday and it looks like pretty much [he is] nearly there, but I don’t think he will be in for the weekend.
“If I go out of here and he will be in the session, I would be surprised. I assume that we start with him team training-wise after the Leicester game. And Naby, no.”
Expected return date: Unknown.
Thiago Alcantara
Thiago Alcantara will miss the remainder of the season with a persistent hip issue. The Spaniard has undergone surgery, but is expected to be ready to return to action in time for pre-season training in July.
Expected return date: Pre-season.
Stefan Bajcetic
Stefan Bajcetic will miss the remainder of the season after suffering from an abductor injury.
Bajcetic was brought off in the latter stages of the 1-0 Premier League defeat at Bournemouth and the midfielder said afterwards: “Unfortunately I’ve picked up an injury that will keep me out until the end of the season.
“It’s very sad to say goodbye to this amazing season for me but I understand this is part of football and will only make me stronger physically and mentally.
“I would also like to say thank you to you Reds for all the support through the season and I assure you I will do my best to be back stronger than ever.”
Expected return date: July pre-season.
Calvin Ramsay
Calvin Ramsay will miss the remainder of the season after having knee surgery.
He was initially on the road to recovery from injury and made appearances for Barry Lewtas' U21s but suffered a setback that required him to go under the knife.
Expected return date: July pre-season.
Suspended
Liverpool currently have no players unavailable through suspension.
