Liverpool have learned the full extent of Luis Diaz’s injury and now know how many matches he will miss.
The Colombia international was withdrawn in the first half of Liverpool ’s 3-2 defeat to Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon. Before his exit, Diaz had supplied the assist for the Reds’ opening goal through Darwin Nunez .
Diaz was involved in a tackle with Gunners midfielder Thomas Partey and the Liverpool forward remained on the ground before receiving treatment before trying to carry on. However, it was to no avail and Jurgen Klopp was forced to bring on Roberto Firmino in place of the 25-year-old.
