Liverpool FC legend Steven Gerrard blunder leaves Gogglebox fans in hysterics

Gogglebox fans were in hysterics after a Steven Gerrard blunder on tonight's show.

Fans of the popular Channel 4 programme were thrilled as our favourite armchair critics welcomed us into their home. Favourites such as the Warner sisters, the Malone family and the Sandifords all returned for the latest episode.

The reality TV stars once again provided the commentary on the week's best TV and the first programme they turned their attention to was Only Connect. Victoria Coren Mitchell quizzed the teams on what the link was between a selection of names.

The second name on the list read "Stephen Jorge Gerard" and the armchair critics questioned if that name referenced the legendary Liverpool FC midfielder. Best friends Georgia Bell and Abby Lynn appeared on today's show and were trying to solve the puzzle.

Georgia correctly pointed out how the link was that the names of famous Stephens were spelled incorrectly. She said: "I feel like Steven Gerrard is spelled with a 'v' though."

Fans following the show on Twitter were in stitches as Abbie missed the point and shot back: "Steven Verard."

TG responded, alongside a laughing emoji; "Steven Verard" Miss Doc and Marie also sent the same tweets in stitches at the hilarious moment.
