Liverpool FC fan, 9, slams 'sexist' Sports Direct labelling

A nine-year-old is taking on Sports Direct over how it labels football boots.

Liverpool FC fan Summer Hoofe, who plays for three football teams, is campaigning for sports shops to market football boots as unisex. The schoolgirl believes that it is unfair that boots are marked as 'boys' and took to TikTok to launch her campaign to encourage retailers to reconsider their labelling.

Summer said: "It’s annoying that whenever I get new boots they always say boys on them. It’s not fair because lots of girls play football too, they shouldn’t say they are for boys, why are they boys' boots?
