Jurgen Klopp has told Pep Guardiola not to sign a new contract at Manchester City, and instead take a long sabbatical from football.
Guardiola has led City to four of the last five Premier League titles, limiting Klopp's Liverpool to just one title, with two of Guardiola's successes coming on the final day to pip Liverpool to the crown by a single point.
So when Klopp was alerted to the fact that Guardiola is yet to extend his current City contract - which expires in the summer - the Liverpool boss said he would prefer if Guardiola called time on his Premier League spell.
