It's safe to say Manchester United's 4-0 defeat to Brentford made for enjoyable TV viewing for Liverpool supporters sat at home on Saturday afternoon.
Erik ten Hag's side were outfought in every department by the Bees and now sit bottom of the Premier League table having lost both of their opening two matches, scoring one goal and conceding six.
Anger was the overriding emotion within the away section of the Gtech Community Stadium once the full-time whistle had blown, a stark contrast to just a few weeks prior following an encouraging set of pre-season results. Optimism was in the air after Ten Hag kicked off his career as United manager with a 4-0 victory in Bangkok, followed up by a 4-1 triumph over Melbourne Victory and 3-1 win over Crystal Palace.

Left convinced their incoming coach was beginning to bring about much-needed change at the club, United fans took great pleasure from their result against Liverpool in particular as some supporters issued a warning this represented a sign of things to come ahead of the coming campaign.
The early signs suggest this is not looking likely to be the case for the Red Devils, who will now face Jurgen Klopp's side in their next Premier League match. Ordinarily a fixture to look out for when season schedules are announced, no United fan appears to be relishing this head-to-head on this occasion.
While the situation may be doom and gloom at Old Trafford, Liverpool fans were able to see the funny side to their rivals' latest setback and offered a reminder of past comments made.
