Liverpool fans send desperate message to 'mighty' Leeds United ahead of Man City fixture

Leeds United EPL Real Madrid UEFA Champions League

Liverpool fans have sent Leeds United a message pleading with them to pick up a result in their crucial Premier League clash with Manchester City on Saturday.

The Blues were involved in a ferocious end-to-end tussle with La Liga leaders Real Madrid in the Champions League first-leg on Tuesday. City ran out 4-3 winners in the energy-sapping clash at the Etihad and now their attention turns to a trip to Elland Road on Saturday evening.

Liverpool, their Premier League title-rivals, beat Villarreal 2-0 at Anfield on Wednesday and now go away to Newcastle this weekend. The gap at the top of the Premier League remains a point after City's 5-1 win over Watford last Saturday.
