Liverpool supporters have taken to social media to react to Steven Gerrard's son's appearance at Anfield during the Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon.
Lio, 5, was a mascot for the Reds' 3-2 triumph over the East Midlands outfit this weekend and was pictured walking out alongside Mohamed Salah - who Gerrard had previously revealed was his son's favourite player at the club.
After taking to the pitch before the kick-off, Lio then watched the game alongside his father and Liverpool legend, Gerrard, in the directors' box before taking a penalty in front of the Kop during the half-time break.

Despite there being no goalkeeper present, Lio received a raucous ovation from the Kop as he smashed his penalty into the empty net. He then made his way off the field after a brief celebration with Gerrard.
After clips of the five-year-old's penalty went viral on Twitter in the hours after, Reds supporters light-heartedly joked that Lio was set to follow in the footsteps of his father at Anfield, who won the Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup and UEFA during his 17-year spell in the first-team.
