Liverpool fans have taken to social media to point out how Luis Diaz's signing has reinvigorated Sadio Mane, as the latter shone for Senegal again on Wednesday.
The Reds signed Diaz from Porto for £37.5million to bolster the squad depth, while providing competition to the attackers already in the squad.
Mane is currently away with Senegal for the African Cup of Nations and provided a goal an assist in the 3-1 semi-final victory over Burkina Faso on Wednesday night to propel his country to the final.
His goal was his third of the tournament and his performances overall at the tournament in Cameroon have been to a high standard, something eagle-eyed Liverpool fans have pointed out.
Highlighting on Twitter, supporters said that Diaz can do to Mane what Kostas Tsimikas did for Andy Robertson when he arrived in the summer of 2020.
Mane's form has dropped recently compared to the insanely high standards he has set since signing from Southampton in 2016.
His goal in the 2-2 draw at Chelsea in the Premier League before leaving for the African Cup of Nations was his first for the club since scoring against Arsenal in the league on November 20.
Diaz could make his Liverpool debut on Sunday in the FA Cup fourth round tie against Cardiff City at Anfield, while Mane will play in the AFCON final on the same day.
