Liverpool fans all say the same thing after new Curtis Jones omission against Norwich City

Jurgen Klopp's selection headache has continued against Norwich City today with more first-team players available than he can fit in his matchday squad.

Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino both miss out with injuries but despite those absences there is once again no room for Curtis Jones in either the starting XI or on the substitutes' bench.

It means that the 21-year-old midfielder has now failed to make the cut for the last three matchday squads, last turning out for the Reds on February 10 in the 2-0 victory against Leicester City at Anfield.

And Reds fans have reacted to the promising youngster's omission on Twitter.

@wrightylfc9 said: "Wonder what’s happened to Curtis Jones just disappeared"

@zubinofficial Tweeted: "Really want to know the story with Curtis Jones. He fails to make the squad for 3 matches in a row."

@seanwise1892 added: "Curtis Jones not making the squad again is a mad one. Surely injured?"

@anna_woodberry Tweeted: "What is interesting is this is the third game Curtis Jones is missing from the matchday squad without an explanation as to whether it is injury-related, disciplinary-related, or something else?

"Liverpool have better depth now, but typically matchday squad roles are shared..."

Jones' disappearance from the regular matchday squad is even more intriguing, given that the Academy graduate was involved in all eight of Liverpool's previous matches since the start of the year.

In his pre-match press conference yesterday, Reds boss Klopp described leaving players out of his squad as: "Not the hardest part of my job but the bit that I like the least."

Competition for places recently intensified with the signing of attacker Luis Diaz and the the return to fitness of Divock Origi, Joe Gomez and Harvey Elliot.
