This year for the first time, the Liverpool ECHO is creating and publishing a Rainbow List.
The list aims to recognise the LGBTQIA+ people who have made a difference in the lives of people in the Merseyside area and we want to include everyone from familiar faces through to perhaps lesser-known activists.
The LGBTQIA+ community is a vital part of Liverpool's wider community. From clubs and bars in Liverpool’s Gay Quarter to the annual Pride In Liverpool event organised by LCR Pride, our city has a rich and vibrant LGBTQIA+ history. The ECHO is committed to celebrating the success of the community and reporting on the issues important to LGBTQIA+ people in Liverpool and beyond and that’s why this year we are publishing our first Liverpool ECHO Rainbow List.

We want to know the people who have made a difference, helped you personally, campaigned to change LGBTQIA+ lives for the better, or used their public profile to make a difference. We want to hear your stories and remember no achievement is too small. We also want to hear about "rising stars" - people who may have come out or created something recently. As long as they are making waves in the LGBTQIA+ scene in Merseyside, we want to sing their praises.
The Rules
To nominate someone, we need their name and a description of why you think they should be included in the list.
We also need contact details for you, and for them and confirmation that the person nominated is aware you have put them forward. We will then contact them afterwards to confirm the details provided.
The closing date for nominations is Saturday, July 16. The final list will be published in July to coincide with Liverpool's annual Pride celebrations.
How do I nominate someone?
Simply fill out the form below and we will be in contact with the nominee to find out more about them and their work.
