Liverpool ECHO's Rainbow list returns to recognise LGBTQ+ people making a difference

The Liverpool ECHO’s Rainbow list is returning for the second year with the same aim.

The list recognises LGBTQ+ people who have made a difference in the lives of people in the Merseyside area and we want to include everyone from familiar faces through to perhaps lesser-known activists.

The LGBTQ+ community is a vital part of Liverpool's wider community. From clubs and bars in the city's Pride Quarter to the annual Pride In Liverpool event organised by LCR Pride, our city has a rich and vibrant history.

The ECHO has been and continues to be committed to celebrating the success of the community and reporting on issues important to the community around the region. This is why the ECHO’s Rainbow List will be returning for its second edition.

We want to know all about the people who have had an impact, helped you personally, campaigned for change, or used their public profile to make a difference.

We want to listen to all your stories and achievements - as no story or achievement is too small in our eyes. We also want to hear about rising stars - people who may have come out or created something recently. As long as they are making waves in the LGBTQ+ scene in Merseyside, we want to sing their praises.

This year, unlike last, we will also be celebrating the communities allies - those offering a voice of support when no one else would. If you know someone who has been there through it all with the community or someone who goes the extra mile to show their love, we also want to know about them.

You can read last year's list here which included a conversion therapy survivor and a celebrity personal trainer.

The Rules

To nominate someone, we need their name and a description of why you think they should be included in the list.

We also need contact details for you, for them and confirmation the person nominated is aware they are being put forward. We will contact them afterwards to confirm the details provided and may ask for additional information and photos.

The closing date for nominations is Sunday, July 16. The final list will be published during the last week of July to coincide with Liverpool's annual Pride celebrations.

How do I nominate someone?

Simply fill out the form below and we will be in contact with the nominee to find out more about them and their work.
