Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk believes players are at a greater risk of injury after UEFA scheduled four Nations League games to be played this month.
Van Dijk is part of the Holland squad that plays in Belgium on Friday evening and then travels to Wales for a game on Wednesday before home matches against Poland and Wales in the competition the following week.
The Reds centre-back has played 59 games for club and country since returning last summer after nine months out with an ACL injury.

And he believes the relentless schedule is putting at risk the fitness of players after such a busy campaign and called on the authorities to consult them in future years.
"It's strange that there are four games after a long season," said Van Dijk. "But it is decided now and we have no possibilities to change that decision.
"But I believe that, during these four games, there is more chance of injuries after a long season.
"That has to be observed, to be analysed and players should have an input in that (the fixture list), I believe."
Van Dijk is one of seven Liverpool players to be involved in the Nations League this month, along with Diogo Jota, Kostas Tsimikas, Andy Robertson, Caoimhin Kelleher, Conor Bradley and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
